dijon catch-up
Aug. 13th, 2010 10:17 amI swear I was thinking about posting yesterday's meme installment last night. I blame the lasagna for sabotaging my memory, although it could have been a kitty high. I spent the day at my parents', showing my mom some computer stuff; and the cats actually sort of half-ass warmed up to my presence. It really is hard to believe they're 18 years old...at least until you go to pet them and feel how skinny they've gotten. Doesn't seem to bother them, though, which I guess is the important part.
Day 13 - A song that is a guilty pleasure
It's hard for me to come up with songs I feel I need to explain liking, just because I don't generally feel a need to explain liking much of anything. Not even anchovies. But with William Shatner feat. Joe Jackson, "Common People," there's just something about Captain Kirk emoting about roaches that's irresistible to me. But I'm well aware that it's not really everyone's cup of tea, so when it comes up in public situations I usually skip past it.
Day 14 - A song that no one would expect you to love
Rammstein, "Engel." It's pretty much the antithesis of the rest of my standard playlist. Originally added because of the well-known AMV "Asuka Strikes," but has stayed there because it actually helps me focus, and the lyrics are appealing. It helps to have a husband who's familiar with German!
