"Return of the Bees."
I wish I were kidding. Sometime between 11 am and 1 pm today, the damn things moved back into the oven vent pipe. There were three of them hovering around the light fixture when I went in to check things out at 1. Two of those promptly disappeared back into the light as soon as I called maintenance (why can't they all do that??), and the third one I swatted out of the air so hard it couldn't get back up. And it made a very satisfying squish as it hit the fridge.
The manager says she's called the bee removal folks and will call back if they don't respond over the weekend. I'm really not looking forward to the next couple of days.
