empty things disguised as me
Aug. 10th, 2010 10:58 pmDay 11 - A song from your favorite band
Ack! I have to choose?? Okay...factor in length of time I've followed them, how fast I pick up their new albums, how many songs are OMG vs. meh, how good they are in concert, how many times I've seen them in concert and how far I've gone to do it...and it comes out a tie still. I've followed Counting Crows and Gin Blossoms since high school, but don't have the latest from CC (didn't know they had anything new after Hard Candy, in shameful fact) and have barely seen any GB concerts. The Wallflowers have grown to really suck in concert, I haven't listened through the last Barenaked Ladies album, I'm not partial to the Goo Goo Dolls stuff where the vocals aren't by Rzeznik, and early work from Vertical Horizon and Green Day doesn't really grab me. Grrrr.
Plan B: ask the husband. He says Goo Goo Dolls. So, I'll pick "Sympathy" for contrast with the last one. Also I've wanted to use the subject line as a journal title for a long time now.
