circling down through white clouds
Aug. 9th, 2010 10:17 pmDay 10 - A song that makes you fall asleep
Tori Amos, "I can't see New York." Generally, there's no such thing as a song that will put me to sleep. Tori in concert, however, has this tendency to stretch out a song by sloooowwwwing iiiiit dooooowwwwwn until you want to scream. Or snore. Her latest album sounds like it's designed to showcase that, but the time she performed this one (which is a 7-minute song to start with and got stretched to probably 12 or so) at Gibson/Universal, I think it actually was the one that had me nodding off. It might have been "Carbon," which I love; but as that one doesn't bore me on the album, I'm plugging my ears, lalalaaaaa.
