let's do the time warp
Jun. 22nd, 2005 11:48 pmI did acquire a new watch, which is the same model as the old one. I discovered that the buckle which tends to rip things is a feature, one I think I'll need to correct with a ball peen hammer. And I'm going to have to take some beeswax or Thread Heaven or something to the strap, which is behaving mildly like Velcro. Happily, the crown on this one works as it should, so there's no more need to wear down my front-tooth enamel.
So yesterday morning I checked the watch at about 7:55. It said 7:55 on the digital, and 8:55ish on the analog. Weird. I reset it.
This morning, I checked it a lot between 7 and 7:40. Analog and digital in near-perfect sync. I looked again at about 7:55, and once again the analog was at 8:55. I have no idea what's causing this to happen, let alone why it's only in the morning. You'd think if it was the minute hand dragging the hour hand with it a ways, it'd happen at both 7:40's, but it's not. Maybe I need to get a video or something.
At least I know the thing's still under warranty.
