it's good to be loved
Apr. 21st, 2004 12:14 pmWhile I hate Administrative Professionals Day as a pseudo-holiday (hollMarkiday?), its PC-ification from Secretaries' Day has netted a huge spread of goodies around the office due to the inclusion of all our support staff. I made the mistake of eating breakfast today (silly me, wanting to keep my coffee down throughout the car ride after too little sleep) so after artichoke dip, enchiladas, fruit, mini quiches, brownies, and probably a few other things I don't remember grazing on, I'm utterly stuffed. Also, due to the chocolate-banana-pudding butter cake and its accompanying icing, my tongue is blue for the second time in 12 hours. It's looking like the Garden Medley salad for dinner, and if I can't get any more water down I may have to forgo my long-awaited Jeremiah Red. This would be bad for my nerves but good for my family, whose heads would be more likely to stay attached to their shoulders in the event of a beer boycott. However, the real provokers won't be there, and if I seat myself right, maybe I can avoid having to spit out either their heads or my feet. Which right now I'd have to do because damn it, I can't eat any more.....
