weekend and half a monday
Jun. 21st, 2004 12:59 pmAgainst all odds, we had a weekend with no plans whatsoever. We'd originally thought up all kinds of things to do, but none of them got done. What I actually did:
--Wore my QoW "Read" shirt (thanks
sekl :) out in public. Granted, it was to BJ's, but I'd forgotten that it was Fathers' Day and that there would therefore be more kids abroad than usual. Sort of eep. Then we met an old CHP buddy who appreciated it and I stopped being self-conscious.
--Achieved a high score on the daily list for Shape Shifter at GameHouse, which (amazingly) stayed on the list from 1:30 am until at least 6 pm Sunday. Started out at 2nd and was at 14th (of 15) last I checked. I tried out the home version, which unfortunately only lets you play 60 minutes free. That's about 1/2 of an average game for me anymore. However, I still may cave and buy it, if only to keep the web version available.
--Made calzones at 10:30 pm on Saturday night.
--Listened to 3 of the 4 "Young Indiana Jones" soundtrack albums
kelson has, and kicked myself for not having listened to them before the wedding. *kicks self again*
And:
--Wrote on Prophecy! The stuff on the web is now less than half of the current total. Kelson did a round of beta on Saturday and pronounced it readable. I've added about a page and a half since then which needs day-after editing and initial review, and then I'll be ready to let my baby out into the world. On paper, not the web yet. Let me know if you're interested.
Butternut squash soup, pita bread and extra-sharp cheddar for lunch....mmmmmm. Writing in LJ rather than in my black notebook.....crap, I just wasted my lunch hour.

Date: 2004-06-21 04:22 pm (UTC)Cindy of dire kid (http://www.hyperborea.org/humor/retreat2002.phtml) fame. Also the guy named Andrew who I can't figure out exactly how he's connected with her. They were in town for a friend's graduation.

A little bit of everything. Ricotta, mozzarella, goat cheese, parmesan, fresh basil and oregano, garlic powder, chicken, broccoli, zucchini, tomatoes, and a little parsley. They need a bit of salt, but if you put some marinara on them, you don't notice. I had so much filling I had to put the extra in a pita and bake it in the toaster oven.
